Hi, i’m Amy! In 2016, I graduated with a Bachelors of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication from Arizona State University.
I love all things digital media. From graphic design to editorial writing, I just love the opportunity to be creative. I have worked in the newsroom on “old-school” print newspapers and in offices relying heavily on fast social media marketing. I have worked in many different areas of communication and have learned how to create valuable and effective content. Because I have worked in such different environments, I really understand the most important thing about creating content, your audience. I love to learn about who I am creating for and make sure I provide them with content that helps, inspires and makes their day a little brighter.
I am currently a digital and editorial assistant for the blog Barefoot Blonde. I am also a digital content creator for Amber Fillerup’s hair company Barefoot Blonde Hair. I previously worked as an editorial designer at the Gannett/USA Today Network Design Studio in Phoenix, Arizona. At the studio, I designed news, sports and local sections for publications all over the west coast. Before that, I interned at Emma Magazine, worked as a freelance writer at Chandler Lifestyle Magazine and served as a campus representative for 31 Bits.
I was born in Colorado and grew up in California. I consider myself a Colorado native and a California girl at heart. I currently live in Arizona in a state of denial about the rising summer temperatures. When I am not working, I love to dance, ride my beach cruiser and watch re-runs of old 90s sitcoms.
